Computer Cart FAQs

Frequently asked questions about computer carts

Q: Do I have to assemble these carts?

A: Yes; for the most part, the purchaser must do the assembly. The units will come with instructions and all the necessary hardware. The only exceptions to this would be if the floor model was purchased. Also, very high-end computer carts sometimes come fully assembled. Check product description for this information.

Q: If the computer cart is on wheels, will it roll away from me as I work on my computer?

A: No, all carts come with locks on at least two of the wheels. The locks are manual, so the cart can be moved to a desired destination at any given time. The user locks the wheels into place to provide a sturdy and steady workstation.

Q: Do all computer carts all look the same?

A: Absolutely not. Just do a little research (at stores or online) and you will see that there are hundreds of styles and one that is perfect for your decor. They can look traditional, contemporary, modern, or very basic. The materials will vary from glass to steel to fiberboard or a combination thereof.

Q: How much can I expect to pay for a computer cart?

A: The price range is very wide. You can find a basic, compact computer cart at your local discount retailer for $50. On the other end of the spectrum are carts that cost more than $300, and every other amount in between. The amount you will spend depends on the features that come with the unit.
